Lekha is a Northeast writers' collective, but we recognise the deep cultural and historical confluences between the Northeastern states of India and the broader Eastern Himalayan region. Writers from Darjeeling, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet and other intersecting communities are welcome to submit their work.
We accept submissions from those who identify as Northeastern in any capacity. However, if you do not identify as Northeastern / Eastern Himalayan but believe your piece aligns with Lekha’s ethos, feel free to email us—we consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
